kay i love you! you are the best advice giver and the best friend! love, the nordic grace jones
p.s. you look crazy sexy librarian hot in this video!
shout out to my peeps
this just reminded me of a quote by artist eva hesse..
“life doesn’t last; art doesn’t last.”
if life and art don’t last, what would make love the only exception?
they’re all beautiful and wonderful and complex while they last, but there is no worth or logic of an indefinite time frame.
that dude is finnneee.
and to counter the eva hesse quote, oscar wilde said “Art persists, it timelessly continues.”
art is timeless!!! so is love IF you put in the work and compromise.
love you alexi. don’t give up hope, keep searching for love.
umm can I just say that I love the building of books that looks like it’s going to fall over at any second behind you…HAHAHAHAHAHA!
but I do like what you had to say about this and what you said about not being able to hate someone for not loving you is completely true I agree.
i like the girl’s thoughts.
p.s. does anyone else think its interesting how asian chicks who “speak american” have deep voices whereas asian chicks from an asian country have high pitched cartoonish voices… hmmmm ponder that yall!!!!
I just wanted to say that I love Little Joy. Awesome.
FYIz: i’m the girl in that video and i’m not american, by nationality or (obviously) ethnicity.
what does speak american mean? speak english?
how many asian chicks do you know from asia?
ps: sorry alexi for saying your name wrong- i know it’s alexi, i just got so nervous!
re: “y”s comment… eva hesse made her art out of non-conservable materials like latex. try telling Indian bronze sculptures from 11 centuries ago that “art doesn’t last.” i think this could be a metaphor for something… it all depends on your attitude and the materials you use to build something. romantic, passionate love can last for a lifetime.
also: it was not my first choice to learn this info, but i know my grandparents “did it” up until the end of my grandfather’s life (he was 87 when he died). i’ll see if i can get my grandmother on tape to talk about this…
lastly “barb”s comment about asian women was terribly offensive… and just to further disprove/undermine it: i’m an american-born white girl and i have a very nasal high pitched voice. just putting that out there.
really? how was my comment offensive? did i directly say that one culture was better than another? i don’t understand how one could be offended by this. it’s not like i said “[insert ethnicity/nationality] are total dumbasses!” (THAT would be offensive.)
speak american as in speak american-english. how many asian people do i know? i live in l.a. i know a lot of asians both from here and from elsewhere (mainly korea and china). i’m just making an observation. it was in no way to offend anyone. just a thought really.
this is to “geniuz”: unfortunately your attempt at undermining my comment has no relation to my observation about asian chicks. really, think about the context. it does not relate. my comment has to do with something within the asian culture.
and i’ll say this again. I LIKE THE GIRL’S THOUGHTS. incredibly thought out and the best of the videos thus far.
best,
barb
kay’s deep voice comes from her canadian roots, you hosers.
leave kay alone you jerks! merry christmas! i love you!
The dude is trying too hard to look like he’s NOT trying. I don’t think he said anything substantial. But whateves, at least he’s cute.
http://www.firednfabulous.blogspot.com/
cop out, the number of real posts from you has been really disappointing. I come to your blog to hear you, stop posting so much about what other people have to say.
Ok I don’t usually leave comments here, but I just wanted to say that kay is sooooooo cute lol.
I’d hate to agree with rufio.
Kay’s video was the only one worth posting. kay: how old are you? You seem wise but I have feeling you are young. Mostly because you have dewy skin.
“my comment has to do with something within the asian culture.”
No, your comment has to do with your cringe-worthy provincialism. Let us know when you touch your first Negro, too… !
i’m mexican-filipino, thank you very much. oh and my best friend since elementary school is black.
people are way too sensitive these days. let me reiterate what i was saying:
1) most asian girls from asian countries have high pitched voices
2) most asian girls from america (whether it be canada or the U.S.) speak with deeper voices
how are these 2 observations offending anyone? are you really offended by me making these 2 points? if so why? look up the word offensive.
thank you all for making my comment something much more than it really was. it’s been a thrill. really.
“i’m mexican-filipino, thank you very much. oh and my best friend since elementary school is black. ”
Oh, well then you CAN’T make racist and/or ridiculous comments about Asians! Thanks for clearing that up! Case closed!
“1) most asian girls from asian countries have high pitched voices 2) most asian girls from america (whether it be canada or the U.S.) speak with deeper voices”
Well, obviously, you’ve heard many million “Asian girls” from Asian countries speaking (most of them, after all) and you’ve heard millions of “Asian girls” from North America speaking, so, your poll is scientifically valid and not just some goofy generalization.
“…high pitched cartoonish voices” + “how are these 2 observations offending anyone?” = clueless.
*I’m* not offended… you’ve proven that girls can be dicks, too. I’m grateful!
The reason i felt inclined to tell you about my ethnic background and my best friend being black is because I felt insulted by your assumptions about my character. “Let us know when you touch your first Negro, too… !”
People say far worse things about races/ethnicities/nationalities and it gets by a lot of the time. Why can’t I just comment on the way some Asians speak. To tell someone they have a deep voice or a high pitched voice isn’t insulting. It’s like saying oh your hair is brown…cool.
Yes, I am a girl and I can be a dick sometimes, but this isn’t one of those times. I’m done with this conversation as I feel I’m repeating myself all too much. If it makes you feel better I’ll just say this: “You are so right, and I’m wrong. I’ll go shoot myself in the foot for being so stupidly racist.”
barb,
huge generalizations about one culture or race are always going to be found offensive whether it be about pitch of voice or genetic superiority. from the “harmless” to the harmful. though you may not think you’re being offensive, generalizations are still racist, whether you have a black friend or not.
Alexi Wasser asked if love can last. It can, but is far from eternal. Everyone has this thing called freedom now, and overpopulation kind of plays a role. There simply is too many people out there not to fall in love with daily. Yet, if one foot is in and the other is out, then you never were really going to accept true love in the first place, you’ll always be looking. Then when you hit 35, you start saying to yourself, “hmm that guy/girl wasn’t so bad, I should’ve just gotten him one of those nasal strips and poof! no more snoring!”
it’s a tiny excerpt from my blog, which is boring and silly anyway, but i just witnessed my [ex] fiancee get off a train into some lumberjack’s arms. it’d hurt less if he wasn’t so hot, but, f*ck.

that barb person wasn’t offensive at all. you people need to unbunch your panties and stop being so affected by what’s seen as politically correct/incorrect.
pussified america/rest of the world, get real people.
